Catalog Administration

ClearEx understands the complexity and importance of providing the copyright information in the appropriate manner to the PROs and other licensing agencies. We can perform a review of your catalog at your PRO to ensure you songs are all registered and reflect your correct share. We will perform a compliance examination of your agreements and the information at the licensing agencies. Any information found to be incorrect, ClearEx will then re-register on your behalf and will also identify any disputed songs.
Catalog Valuation​
​If you are contemplating the sale of your music catalog and need to determine its value, the ClearEx can put together a financial overview of your works based on your historical earnings and pipeline income. We can also put together a comprehensive listing of you works to give you a complete package to present to a prospective buyer.
Copyright & Song Registration
ClearEx can register your songs with your PRO. We can also complete a PA and/or SR registration forms for the U.S. Copyright office.
Also, if you need to monetize your songs at YouTube and Spotify, the ClearEx can help set up your publisher account with these DSPs. We will then use their backend client portals to correctly claim your songs. If we run into someone else claiming one or more of your songs, we will work directly with that 3rd party on your behalf to help resolve any counterclaims.
Licensing

If you need to issue a direct mechanical or sync license, the ClearEx can prepare the required license and send it to the Licensor. We will deal directly with the Licensor until the license is fully executed.
Royalty Audits
The Clearance Experience (ClearEx) will perform a comprehensive audit of your royalty statements with an emphasis on all digital income including streams, downloads and all the other avenues of digital distribution. This will determine the accuracy of income earned from your licenses. We will review agreements and ensure all licenses are being paid correctly based on counts, territories at the right rates. We will identify underreported / unreported royalties generated by you licenses. Giving you a complete overview of your catalog’s earnings.
For example: If you are a TV/Film composer, you may have 20 cues in a TV show that is syndicated worldwide. ClearEx will review you PRO statements to ensure all 20 cues are reported by PROs from all territories the show airs.
ClearEx will then perform a thorough financial audit of your catalog at your publishing company. Our comprehensive understanding of the royalty process allows us to investigate the contractual obligations of the publishing company concerning your royalties, and make sure they are being processed correctly.

ClearEx can take on a variety of special projects pertaining to your catalog. We know at any given time a project may arise that will be out of the realm of your normal operations. ClearEx is here to provide help and no project is considered too big or too small.
